The information below provides information that should be of interest to individuals, who are interested in joining the Pickering Mens Slo-Pitch league. 

1. The minimum age to join the league is 18 years of age by December 31 of the current year.
    

2. You must be a resident or a business owner in Pickering or Ajax to be eligible to join the league.
    

3. League games are played from early May through to the end of September.  All league games are scheduled at various times slots on Sunday (between 11:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.). Each team is scheduled to play sixteen games across thirteen weeks (including three double headers).  Games last one and one half hours (new new inning commences after one hour and fifteen minutes).
    

4. League games are not scheduled on long weekends (Victoria Day, Canada Day, Simcoe Day and Labour Day).
    

5. Two tournaments are conducted annually, one in June and one in August.  Games are played on Friday night and Saturday. There is a regular schedule of Sunday games following the tournament.
    

6. Playoffs are conducted over four Sundays beginning at the end of August or first weekend following Labour Day in September (double knockout format).
    

7. Bases, balls and carded umpires are provided by the league.
    

8. Each team is responsible for their own uniforms preferably with numbers.  Note: Although uniforms are not mandatory, they are certainly encouraged.
    

9. The league fee for new teams in 2012 is $1,450.00 (including a $100 deposit).  Cost per player is set by individual teams.  The fee for returning teams is $1,350.00.
    

10. The league operates six divisions, five of which are open divisions and one is a masters division.  The masters division is for players 40 years or age and older.
     

11. Individuals wishing to join a team in our league should contact our registrar at registrar@pickeringmensslowpitch.ca. Your name will be added to our waiting list which existing teams looking for new players will draw from. The league will also attempt to create a new team from this list each year if space permits.
     

12. Teams wishing to join our league should contact our registrar at registrar@pickeringmensslowpitch.ca. A team representative should then show up on registration night in late February (date and location posted on our website in early January) with their teams payment. If space is available you will be contacted and advised what division you have been assigned to. If no space is available due to limited park availability then we will return your cheque and add your team to a waiting list for subsequent years if requested.
